HACK’S POINT COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION,
August 16th, 2025, MEETING MINUTES
Meeting Called to Order At 0900 Hours
Number of Residents in attendance: Thirty-two (32) residents were in attendance.
Officers in attendance: Tim Ziethen, President; Ann Carlton, Vice President; Kathy Hopkins, Secretary, Suzanne Cordus; interim bookkeeper
Directors in attendance: Les Carlton, Jan Heald, Hugh McGettigan, Bradley Mozeik
Approval of July 19th, 2025, HPCA Meeting Minutes: Les Carlton made a motion to approve May 17th, 2025, minutes, Jim Robie seconded. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report:
We have 106 members to date. Suzanne reviewed the expenditures totaling $1472.71 for July 20th to August 16th. Laura Heald made a motion to approve the treasures report, Jim Robey seconded, motion was carried.

· All voted approved minutes passed have been posted
Bacteria Testing is now on the site and updated weekly, week 13 posted.
Sub Committee reports:
· Social Committee Update:
o Ice Cream Social will take place on Saturday August 16th from 6pm to 8pm. Rock painting will also be available.
o September 13th a resin art craft night Fundraiser by Renee Russo is scheduled. The proposed cost is ($25) twenty-five dollars a person.
o October 19th (Sunday) Halloween Fall Festival 3pm to 5pm
o November 15th (Saturday) Farm Girl Felt Fundraiser $45 with $20 coming back to the community.
o December is in the works.
Board Walk Committee Update: Boardwalk replacement completed.
A BIG THANK YOU to Les and Ann Carlton. Les spearheaded the project of 140 new boards on the board walk. We went over budget and Les and Ann donated the overage of $1500 dollars to complete the project. The Best!!
THANK YOU also to Mike Wechsler for his donation of $300 dollars, greatly appreciated!
THANK YOU to Ryan Husfelt who so generously donated his time and ability to keep our AC in the Hall running. Greatly appreciated.
Current Ongoing Business:
· Shoreline Stabilization- fund raising continues.
o Discussion took place concerning the need to arrest the erosion on Fairfield where a pipe needs to be closed off, then plant trees.
Community Parkland Maintenance
Discussion took place on trimming vegetation and cutting of small trees on parkland property off of Parklane. What is the plan? President will address it.
· The Highway Department will be trimming around the Stop Signs.
· Caps for pilings on Boardwalk (6 to 8, various diameters) ($15) fifteen dollars each.
· Farmdale sink hole Update: Jim Graft found tree remains, removed it and filled. Seeding to be completed
· Benches for the board walk – need volunteers to reattach to boardwalk.
· Pavement washout by parking (near beach) was suggested to try new product Aqua Fault 6 (Ace Hardware)
· Tree removal quotes were received, low bid identified and revisiting scope.
· Water testing results summary week 13, passed. Completed
· New signage needed for parkland
· Little beach drainage improvement and new fence needed. Need Quotes
New Business
o Fall Clean-up workday scheduled on Saturday September20th 11am to 2pm will include lunch,
§ Treat Boardwalk, Caps for pilings installed, new signage, little Beach, installation of benches for boardwalk and so forth.
o Discussion of visibility issue on Farmdale to Glebe Rd. Who is responsible, HPCA or County?
o Voting for Board and Directors-Nominations/Slate and Voting
§ Must be a current member in good standing to be nominated or voted in
§ One vote per household/owner
o Voting Results of New Officers
§ President – Tim Ziethen
§ Vice President – Ann Carlton
§ Secretary – Lisa Koch
§ Treasurer – Dawn Bielert

Jim Robey made a motion to accept Vote, Seconded by Bill Alberts. Motion Carried.
Bill Alberts spoke on behalf of the Pully Club, $10 dollars a year. Accepting members
No further business to discuss, motion to adjourn made by Les Carlton, Jim Robie seconded, Motion Carried. Meeting adjourned at 1025 hours.
